Lay out Base
Square to 7" x 11"

Start at front
Weave first row flat except for back
|

Turn base to start second row on back

Keep back corners tight
|

Pack weavers down tightly as you weave

Let your weave get a little wider
each time around
at the 2 front corners only and making
sure both
corners are the same

Make sure to keep the back 2 corners
square
(crease with your fingers if necessary)

The back of your basket should be
straight
The front of your basket should 'belly'
out

Keep your basket damp and use your
hands
to shape the front of your basket

the basket a pattern/variation

The wider your spaces at the front
corners,
the more your front will 'belly' out

Weave to a height of 16 or 17 inches,
cut and
tuck stakes

Apply a bushel basket handle and a
rim of flat oval
